Solar sensor light simulator
A light simulator that can be used during thermal vacuum testing of solar sensors for space applications. It can also be used for solar panels and other optical devices.
The solar sensor light simulator uses a light source stabilized and controlled by an optical ground support equipment (OGSE) to simulate optical sensors. This simulator can be used during thermal vacuum testing. Furthermore, this simulator can be used without making contact with the sensor being simulated. The configuration of the simulator consists of a controller, three optical heads, and an interface to a PC. This simulator can be used with solar sensors, solar panels, and other optical devices from any manufacturer.
